WELCOME to the information page for Doty Auction Service. I hope many of your questions will be answered here. Always feel free to email or call if you need more information. Auction Terms We accept cash, or checks with a driver license or pictured I.D. We do not accept credit cards or credit card checks. You need to register with a picture I.D. to receive a bidding number before you bid on any item. Announcements made day of sale take precedent over printed materials. Nothing is to be removed until settled for or arrangements are made with the auctioneer. General Auction Information and Rules Bidder Disputes: If a dispute arises between two bidders, the auctioneer will decide on a resolution of the problem. Usually the bidding is opened again with the parties in dispute being the only bidders. Auctioneers judgement is final. Reserve or Minimum bid: The auctioneer reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Any bid below the reserve will be rejected and item thus not sold. Other terms: Any conditional or new terms of the auction will be announced in the opening remarks of the auction or prior to when the individual item with special terms is sold. Item Condition: All items are sold “as is-where is”, and no deductions or allowances will be given. It is the buyer’s responsibility to check all items before bidding and the buyer is to determine the amount they wish to bid on any item, determined by the condition. We take no responsibility for incorrect description, cataloguing errors, or imperfections, etc. We will, at coin auctions, allow the buyer to have a coin graded and authenticated, at the buyer’s expense on questionable coins. Arrangements must be made the day of the sale with the auctioneer. If the coin is removed from the original holder or if it leaves the auction site, this right is cancelled. Claims: After items are remove from the auction site, no claims will be honored or allowed. Selling Agent: The auctioneer and his employees are acting as a selling agent only and are not responsible for the acts of its principal. Persons attending the preview or auction shall not hold the Auction Company liable for damage or loss. The auctioneer or the principal shall not be held liable for any defect in the condition of the premise where the sale is held. Auction Records: The records kept by the auctioneer and his employees will be taken as the final word in case of any dispute. Shipping Information: All shipping cost, handling and insurance charges are the responsibility of the buyer. Any successful absentee bidder must make full payment of the item and above charges before the item will be sent.
